The RESTORE-IT backup app for bexio

Those who have the appropriate permissions in bexio can register, activate and link our bexio backup app. 

Exports can only be carried out by those who have the corresponding login for the RESTORE-IT Backupportal, which is recorded with the e-mail address and password during registration.

Anyone with a Professional or Premium subscription and the corresponding login for the RESTORE-IT Back Supportal can view backups and initiate manual backups. 

Our data centre in Fahrwangen (AG) used to serve as a bank and is secured accordingly. Your backups are stored here on highly available servers monitored by monitoring systems. We operate another data centre in St. Gallen to offer customers additional security for their data.

Depending on the subscription you choose, your bexio data is automatically backed up twice a month, weekly or daily overnight between 2am and 5am. The data is transferred using SSL encryption. In addition, with the Professional or Premium subscription, you can also manually trigger a backup during the day. 

With our current version of "bexio Backup", the database (excl. payroll accounting), documents such as expenses, receipts etc. and contacts can be backed up. 

If you have the appropriate login for the RESTORE-IT Back Supportal, you can view backups and, if you have a Professional or Premium subscription, you can also export data from the backups. 

A classic, direct restore within bexio does not work. However, you can export data, documents and contacts from a backup via the RESTORE-IT back supportal and insert them back into bexio.

If a backup fails for any reason, the backup is automatically restarted 3 times. If the backup is still faulty, the backup is personally checked by SILEO on the following working day and an attempt is made to remedy the cause on the next possible backup. 

After a minimum term of three months, you can cancel with one month's notice at the end of each calendar month. Without active cancellation, your subscription will be automatically extended after the subscription period. Invoices are sent out in such a way that you have sufficient time to cancel at the end of each month, subject to the one-month notice period. 

In RESTORE-IT Backupportal you have the option of changing your subscription to a higher or lower subscription. Please note our General Terms and Conditions regarding the minimum term and notice periods.
