Who can activate the Bexio Backup APP in Bexio?
Anyone with the corresponding permissions in bexio can register, activate, and link our bexio Backup app.
Who can perform an export?
Only those with the corresponding login for the RESTORE-IT backup portal, which is created with an email address and password during registration, can perform exports.
Who can initiate manual backups?
Anyone with a Professional or Premium subscription and the corresponding login for the RESTORE-IT backup portal can view backups and initiate manual backups.
Where is my backup data stored?
Our data center in Fahrwangen (AG) previously served as a bank and is secured accordingly. Your backups are stored here on highly available servers monitored by monitoring systems. We operate another data center in St. Gallen to offer customers additional data security.
How and when is my data backed up?
Depending on your subscription choice, your bexio data is automatically backed up overnight between 02:00 and 05:00, either twice monthly, weekly, or daily. Data transfer occurs with SSL encryption. Additionally, with the Professional or Premium subscription, you can manually initiate a backup during the day.

Can I restore deleted documents?
A classic, direct restoration within bexio does not work. However, you can export data, documents, and contacts from a backup via the RESTORE-IT backup portal and reinsert them into bexio.
Can I restore bookings directly in bexio?
No. However, you can track changes via the backup versions and manually adjust them in bexio.

Are bexio users and logins also backed up?
No. This is not possible in the current version of “bexio Backup.”
What happens if backups fail?
If a backup fails for any reason, the backup is automatically restarted 3 times. If the backup remains faulty, SILEO will personally check it on the next working day and attempt to resolve the cause for the next possible backup.
When can I cancel my subscription?
After a minimum term of three months, you can cancel with one month’s notice at the end of each calendar month. Without active cancellation, your subscription will automatically renew after the subscription period. Invoices are sent in such a way that you have enough time to cancel by the end of the month, observing the one-month notice period.
